Feeling Anxious?

Are you sick and tired of feeling anxious? Does anxiety prevent you from participating in social events? Is it affecting your professional life? Do daily tasks overwhelm you?

Are you interested in finding out what the root cause of your anxiety may be?

Did you know that:

  • National prevalence data indicates that nearly 40 million people in the United States (18%) experience an anxiety disorder in any given year.
  • Approximately 8% of children and teenagers experience an anxiety disorder with most people developing symptoms before age 21.
  • Only about one-third of those suffering from an anxiety disorder receive treatment.

The standard protocol for anxiety is psychotherapy and the prescription of selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) also known as anti-depressants.  Medications often come with side effects such as drowsiness, balance problems, memory problems, headaches, nausea, dry mouth, muscle weakness, constipation, diarrhea…and more.

Short term, these are effective in helping a patient “feel good” but they don’t actually correct the problem. Drugs don’t cure anxiety!

At PurBalance, we believe in using science vs. guesswork to detect the root cause of your health imbalance so we can provide you with the correction you need to reclaim your health and life.

Anxiety can be rooted in a nutrient imbalance, hormone imbalance and/or due to poor gut health. It is estimated that 90% of serotonin (your “feel good neurotransmitter”) is produced in your gut…so an unhealthy gut can really influence your overall mental health.

We use advanced blood and urine testing to assess deficiencies in brain specific nutrients and possible hormone and gut imbalances that may prevent you from feeling your best self.

Anxiety can also be due to a brainwave imbalance caused by our environment and the ongoing stressors impacting the body every second of everyday. The body can become overloaded and cause our brainwaves to become disorganized.  This most commonly occurs as a result of overstimulation. This disorganization often found in people suffering with anxiety can create abnormal responses to incoming stimuli.

To identify possible brainwave disorganizations, we perform a comprehensive brain map. This process allows us to read the frequency of areas across the brain. Much like a weather map that shows high and low temperatures, this map will show brain wave frequencies in different areas of the brain that may be over or under signaling contributing to symptoms within the body.

Your brain is not hard-wired, it is not limited or fixed in its abilities to heal, it can be retrained. At PureBalance we use Neurofeedback to retrain abnormal brainwave patterns. Neurofeedback is a guided exercise for the brain that is shown to help normalize brainwaves.

Cheers to a more relaxed you!
